Annak Establishes Academic and
Achievement Awards
On September 5,
2008, the National Board of Annak Ti Candon International, Inc. (Annak),
approved a resolution creating the Academic Excellence and
Achievement Awards. The awards are given in furtherance of Annak’s
objective of promoting academic and educational development of the
youths in Candon City.
These
recognitions/awards will be given to deserving students of the
Candon Elementary School District under two categories:
1. Academic Excellence Award. This award will be given to a
student who excels in academics.
2. Achievement Award. This award will be given to a student
who has shown leadership in school and/or achieved recognition in
the community.
The mechanisms and
guidelines governing these awards will be given to the Supervisors
and/or Principals of the Candon Elementary School District in
January 2009, but no later than 60 days, before the awards are
given. Certificate of recognition, including monetary awards, will
be given during the school graduation or commencement exercises.
The funds for this project were raised during the Annak’s first
inaugural charity ball held on July 12, 2008 in Los Angeles,
California, and other fund-raising activities of Annak.
