2009 Annak Academic Excellence and
Achievement Award Recipients
Annak ti Candon
International, Inc. (Annak) released the names of recipients of the
2009 Annak Ti Candon Academic Excellence and Achievement Award (see
Annak Establishes Academic Awards). Mrs. Fannie Martinez
Herold, Chairperson of Annak Recognition and Awards Committee said,
“honoring and recognizing student achievement and hard work is one
of the goals of Annak Computerization Program. The award recognizes
the outstanding efforts of students in meeting challenging academic
standards of excellence.” This year’s awards were given to
outstanding and deserving students of Candon Elementary School
District 2 and all of Candon public high schools.
The
awards were given during the 2009 graduation exercises of elementary
and public high schools adopted by Annak. Mrs. Amelia Samonte
Benitez, Annak Secretary, presented the awards to the awardees. She
was assisted by Atty. Emmylou Mangasar, Mrs. Evangeline Rubang, and
the principals and head teachers of the adopted schools. The awards
include a certificate signed by the president of Annak, the
chairperson of Recognition and Awards Committee, and the officers
and/or members of Annak who sponsored the award. Cash award was
also given to the recipients.
“Promoting
academic excellence is the cornerstone of our mission. We encourage
the students to make a determined effort and make academic
excellence a priority in the pursuit of education and we hope that
the awards will inspire the students to succeed,” said President
Omar B. de Peralta. As an unknown author once said, “Some succeed
because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are
determined to.”
