Annak Ti Candon Summer Picnic
2010
This is an Annak event where members and families
bond together, and this is the time Annak expresses its gratitude to
its sponsors and donors for their support.
On September 4, 2010, Annak Ti Candon International, Inc. (Annak)
held its second summer picnic at the Grand Avenue Park in Chino
Hills, California. Members and guests feasted with food and
participated in variety of outdoor games. Members of Annak-Nevada
headed by no less than their President, Dr. Albert G. Gaceta,
stormed the picnic in force.
The biggest surprise was the attendance of Msgr. Vicente B. Avila,
Parish Priest of San Juan de Sahagun Parish, Candon, Ilocos Sur. He
blessed the food (tapno saan nga agsakit ti tian dagiti mangan),
blessed everyone in attendance good health, peace and happiness, and
blessed Annak and prayed for its success that it may continue
helping the youths and poor people of Candon. He enjoined Annak to
be a partner of the church in helping the poor and less fortunate
for a better Candon City.
Other surprise guests were members and officers of Candonians of
Northern California (CNC), Dr. William Quismorio and his wife Emma
who gave generous donation to Annak. Another special guest was
Winnie Abaya, Vice President of CNC. They were visibly excited and
happy to see fellow annak ti Candon (Candonians), relatives and
friends. Annak members were likewise happy and excited to meet them.
Just like last year, this is what we do best- we bond, we laugh, and
we unite to serve those who are closest to us- our family and our
less fortunate brothers and sisters in Candon City.
We thank all our members, guests, and sponsors who in one way or
another made the picnic a successful summer event. See you all next
year.
