Annak Responds to School Resolutions
We
hear you.
We acknowledge receipt of resolutions signed by the teaching staff,
PTCA officials, and Barangay officials of beneficiaries of Annak
Computerization Program. These resolutions validate one of the
intended goals of the program- involving not only the teachers and
students but the Candon community in general in promoting and
advancing the educational needs of the youths. We take cognizance
and are very encouraged by your enthusiasm and willingness to be a
part of our broader objective of improving your community through
civic and non-political collective actions. We encourage you to
continue communicating with us and participating in Annak on-going
projects and future programs in Candon City aimed at helping the
youths, economically disadvantaged and less fortunate “kailians”.
Addressing the substance of your various requests, we note that some
are already part of the computerization program and are currently
being implemented, such as your requests for books, reference
library books, encyclopedia, and instructional materials. (See Annak
donates books). Some of your requests will be on hold and take the
back seat, such as computer laptops, televisions with DVD players,
and projections. While the latter requests are equally important
educational instructional tools, there are currently on-going
projects and priorities Annak must first complete and take into
consideration.
Foremost is the goal of making all Candon public schools
beneficiaries of Annak Computerization Program. Humbly, we are very
proud to report to you that as of today 21 schools are now
beneficiaries of this program. However, there are still other
schools in the Candon school district, specifically schools in
District 1, we are committed to computerize. (see our
Mission)
In order to deliver on our commitments to you and other schools, we
are holding fundraising events and asking donations and financial
support from our members and institutional sponsors. One of these
fundraising events scheduled for this year is the Charity Jam
Session which will be held on May 23, 2009 in Los Angeles,
California for the purpose of raising funds for the Annak
Computerizations Program.
Given the priorities stated above, we ask for your understanding and
patience. Be assured of our continuing commitment to computerize all
public schools in Candon City.
We are there for you.
All for a better Candon City.
Annak National Board and Officers.
